Description
In Busayra, USAID SCHEP worked with the Busayra Cultural Heritage Project from 2015 – 2017, with a focus on cleaning and protecting the archaeological site. Beginning in 2018, SCHEP worked with the Department of Antiquities to improve site presentation and navigability. This included the installation of new signs, renovation of the site entrance, and improved site pathways. SCHEP also supported the renovation of a small building belonging to a school adjacent to the site, to serve as a heritage lab for awareness activities and workshops.
