Description
As part of the Bayt Ras Project, USAID SCHEP supported a Training in Roman Pottery Analysis for Department of Antiquities staff from September 15-18, 2019. This customized training was held in Bayt Ras, Irbid, and led by Dr. Loïc Mazou, an archaeologist and associate researcher in the department of Archaeology and Science of Antiquity at Paris Nanterre University. The curriculum focused on sorting and categorizing pottery by its shape, reconstructing broken pottery, dating and documenting pottery, and more.
