Description
Qal'at al-Deb'a" This is located approximately 1 km due west of Mahattat al-Deb'a; a station on the Hejaz Railway between Jisa and Khan al-Zabib. The site consists of a square fort and two cisterns lying adjacent to the wadis. The fort measures about 25 meters per side including the four square corner towers. The two reservoirs are located at a distance of 25.80 meters from the fort. (Petersen, A. "Early Ottoman Forts on the Hajj Route in Jordan. 1986; p. 24-29).
