Description
Qasr Nuwayjis is a 2nd or 3rd century AD Roman mausoleum in the northern outskirts of Amman, most of whose walls still stand to their original height. Based on a podium, it is square on the outside with a cruciform interior. It is covered by a dome whose keystone stands high above it, with what looks like a large rock-cut candle emerging from the top "T.
